This important commitment is anchored by Community Health Needs Assessments (CHNAs), conducted every three years by each of our hospitals, and brought to life through comprehensive Implementation Strategies (IS) that are updated each year.
Since 2003, Aurora Health Care has partnered with local health departments across eastern Wisconsin to survey residents on their health status and habits and identify areas of greatest need.

The primary community health data provided by these surveys is supplemented with secondary data and key informant interview reports, rounding out a range of reliable data sources for Community Health Needs Assessments.
With insights gained through CHNAs, each of our hospitals is responsible for establishing a proactive Implementation Strategy that maps out how they will use their resources to address community health needs.
