Aurora to offer care in Winneconne

Wednesday, October 06, 2004

Aurora Health Care has announced plans for construction of a new Aurora Health Center in Winneconne. The center is being built in response to the growing health care needs of the Winneconne community.

The one-story, brick physician office building will be located near the intersection of STH 116 and US 45. It will occupy approximately 4,000 square feet on 2-and-a-half acres of land.

The new center will comfortably accommodate two primary care physicians who will provide the full spectrum of medical treatment from newborn to elderly care. Aurora Health Center - Winneconne features the practice of Kristin Boeugher, DO and Scott Beougher, DO, both family practice physicians.

``We are excited to be able to bring convenient, affordable health care to the residents of Winneconne,`` said Dr. Scott Boeugher.

Dr. Kristin Boeugher added, ``We look forward to becoming part of the community and providing medical care to the families in Winneconne.``

The center will feature a full array of outpatient diagnostic services, including an on-site laboratory and x-ray. It will be similar in design to the new Aurora Health Center in Omro, which opened this spring.

``Many of our patients live in Winneconne or nearby,`` said David Zerbe, administrator of the Aurora Health Center. ``This new center will provide a new option for care closer to home.``

Construction at the site has already begun, and the new health center is expected to be ready for occupancy by the end of 2004. A groundbreaking ceremony is set for October 21 at Noon.

Other Aurora Health Centers located near Winneconne include Omro, Oshkosh and Neenah. Inpatient care is offered through the new Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh, a full-service community hospital. The 84-bed hospital is located along Highway 21, just west of Highway 41.

Aurora Health Care is a not-for-profit Wisconsin health care provider and a national leader in efforts to improve the quality of care. Aurora offers care at sites in more than 80 communities throughout eastern Wisconsin.
