Aurora to offer care in BonduelThursday, June 23, 2005
Aurora Health Care announced plans today for construction of a new Aurora Health Center in Bonduel. The center is being built in response to the growing health care needs of the western Shawano County community.
The one-story, brick office building will be located at the northwest corner of Highway 47 and Express Way near the intersection of Highways 29 and 47.
The 4,000-square-foot clinic will house up to two primary care providers who will provide the full spectrum of medical treatment from newborn to elderly care.
“We are excited to be able to bring convenient, affordable health care to the residents of Bonduel,” said Tom Koehler, M.D., President of Aurora Health Care’s North Region and a Green Bay internist. “Aurora looks forward to becoming part of the community and providing medical care to the families in the area.”
The center will feature outpatient diagnostic services, including an on-site laboratory and x-ray. Additional health services are available about 30 minutes away at the Aurora BayCare Health Center on West Mason Street in Green Bay.
A timetable for construction has not been finalized. Other Aurora Health Centers similar to the Bonduel project are located in Seymour and Pulaski.
Aurora Health Care is a not-for-profit Wisconsin health care provider and a national leader in efforts to improve the quality of care. Aurora offers care at sites in more than 80 communities throughout eastern Wisconsin.
