Dr. Gregory Hiltgen joins Aurora, now practicing in ShawanoTuesday, October 04, 2005
Local family practice physician Gregrey Hiltgen, M.D., has joined Aurora Health Care and has begun practicing at 503 South Main Street in Shawano. Appointments can be made by calling 715-526-6244.
Dr. Hiltgen is on the medical staff at Shawano Medical Center and has been the family practice staff physician at the Menominee Tribal Clinic in Keshena since 1997. He also has served as a part-time emergency physician at Shawano Medical Center. Dr. Hilgten has a broad scope to his practice, in keeping with traditional family practice medicine. He provides obstetrical, pediatric and adult care, including office and hospital-based procedures. He also has advanced training in colon cancer screening and provides flexible sigmoidoscopy and full colonoscopy procedures.
Dr. Hiltgen is board-certified by the American Board of Family Practice and is certified in advanced trauma life support, advanced cardiac life support, and pediatric advanced life support.
Dr. Hiltgen received his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee and completed his internship and residency in family practice at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee. He also completed a family practice faculty development fellowship at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine in Madison.
Dr. Hiltgen is married and has three teenage children. His wife, Mary K. Goldsberry, is a critical care nurse.
