Aurora Health Center to be built in Denmark

Tuesday, September 12, 2006

DENMARK, Wis., Aurora Health Care today announced plans for construction of a primary care clinic at Highway R and Solvang Way in Denmark.

The one-story, 4,000-square-foot clinic will house up to two physicians who will provide the full spectrum of medical treatment for patients from newborns to the elderly.

The new Aurora Health Center is being built in response to the growing health care needs of the southern Brown County area, said Thomas Koehler, M.D., an internist and president of Aurora’s North Region.

“The first level of care, or primary care, needs to be close to home, and that is what this new clinic will provide for the residents of Denmark,” Dr. Koehler said.

The center, which features on-site laboratory and X-ray services, will be located one block north of the intersection of Highways 96 and R just east of Interstate 43.

The new clinic in Denmark is expected to open in early 2007.
Aurora Health Care is a not-for-profit Wisconsin health care provider and a nationally recognized leader in efforts to improve the quality of health care. Aurora offers services at sites in more than 90 communities throughout eastern Wisconsin.
