Friday, April 13, 2007

The new 4,000-square-foot, 1-story clinic at 101 Express Way opens on Monday.

Aurora Health Center, which was announced in June, marks Aurora's entry into Bonduel. Previously, Aurora patients needed to travel to Shawano or Pulaski for their primary health care needs.

Physician Assistant Bonnie Glinski leads the new clinic. Also on staff are registered nurse Cheryl Tiegs and Emily Peissig, a radiologic technologist. Glinksi has more than 6 years of medical experience. Prior to joining Aurora, she was a physician assistant for an area neurology department, and a certified nursing assistant for various nursing homes and other health organizations.

She has a Master of Medical Science degree in physician assistant studies from Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Ill. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biology with a minor in chemistry and sociology with an emphasis in geriatrics from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse. Glinski lives in Sobieski with her husband and dog. Both Bonnie and her husband grew up in Pulaski.

Tiegs has more than 15 years of medical experience. She earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay in nursing and an associate degree in nursing from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College. Cheryl and her husband live just north of Bonduel.

Peissig has an Associate of Science degree in radiology from Lakeshore Technical College. Previously, she received clinical experience at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in the radiology department for two years. Peissig lives in Green Bay.

Aurora Health Center in Bonduel will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Fridays. Same-day appointments will be available. It will offer primary care for patients of all ages. Preventive care and immunizations will also be offered at the clinic. X-rays, blood tests and urine analysis can be taken at the clinic as well as in-office results for tests such as pregnancy, strep throat and mononucleosis.

Gregrey Hiltgen, MD, who is based at the Aurora Health Center in Shawano, also will oversee the Bonduel site.
