Radiology Associates of Milwaukee to Join Aurora Medical GroupTuesday, February 26, 2008
Aurora Health Care today announced that the physicians of Radiology Associates of Milwaukee have decided to join Aurora Medical Group.
Long a leading radiology practice in the Milwaukee area, Radiology Associates of Milwaukee consists of 28 radiologists. The organization has its administrative offices in Wauwatosa.
"We are delighted to have Radiology Associates join our practice," said Jeff Bailet, M.D., president of Aurora Medical Group. "In the years ahead, these physicians will contribute greatly to the quality of the care we provide for our patients."
Dale Lye, M.D., president of Radiology Associates, said that the radiologists were attracted to Aurora by the opportunity to practice within a large, fully integrated system that values physician leadership and continuous quality improvement. "We also look forward to staffing the new Aurora Medical Center now under construction in the Town of Summit in Waukesha County," Dr. Lye said.
Radiology Associates of Milwaukee will be fulfilling the terms of existing contracts before transitioning to practices within Aurora Health Care. This transition process is expected to extend over the next two years.
Aurora provides radiology services not only through employed radiologists but also through long-term contractual relationships with several radiology group practices. Those contractual relationships will continue.
Aurora Medical Group encompasses 720 primary care and specialty physicians. Aurora Medical Group is part of Aurora Health Care, a not-for-profit health care provider and a nationally recognized leader in efforts to improve the quality of care. Aurora offers services at sites in more than 90 communities throughout eastern Wisconsin.
