Aurora Health Care Names Steve Francaviglia Vice President of Business Development

Friday, January 30, 2009

Milwaukee, Wis. -- Aurora Health Care announced today that Steve Francaviglia has been named a vice president of business development for the not-for-profit integrated health system. In his new role, Francaviglia will work full time with the physician and administrative leaders of Aurora Medical Group to build on initiatives that strengthen the integration of physician services with other parts of the health system.

"Steve has a long history of working successfully with physician groups," said Rick Klein, senior vice president of market growth and development at Aurora Health Care. "His experience includes working with physician specialty groups to better link them with other care areas that are essential to providing a full scope of services for our patients."

Francaviglia most recently was in an executive leadership position with a physician group that specialized in cardiac services. Earlier in his career he served in a leadership role with Aurora's cardiac services.

Francaviglia will work in cooperation with physician leaders in each of Aurora's five geographic regions, which span the eastern third of Wisconsin.

"Steve excels at bringing people together to achieve common goals," said Jeff Bailet, M.D., president of Aurora Medical Group. "He will be a valuable part of our team as we work to make further improvements in the quality of the care we provide and the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of our operations."

Aurora Medical Group encompasses more than 800 primary care physicians and specialists. Aurora Medical Group is part of Aurora Health Care, a not-for-profit health care provider and a nationally recognized leader in efforts to improve the quality of care. Aurora offers services at sites in more than 90 communities throughout eastern Wisconsin.
