World-Renowned Soccer Coach Leads Clinics at Aurora BayCare June 25-27Tuesday, May 19, 2009

Green Bay, Wis. - International soccer speed expert Mike Antoniades is leading various two-hour soccer clinics for boys and girls ages 8 to 18 at Aurora BayCare Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Center, 1160 Kepler Drive in Green Bay, from June 25 to 27.
By using a number of specialized soccer-specific training techniques, athletes can improve their speed, agility, acceleration and power with the ball.
"Speed and quickness are skills that can be taught and not just something you were born with," Antoniades said.
The cost is $40 for an individual player and $35 for a team player who signs up with a group of 8 or more participants. Each session is limited to 22 participants.
Antoniades has coached professionally for 28 years and has trained professional athletes and clubs in the United Kingdom, Europe and United States. He is a qualified UEFA A Licensed Coach, Speed Coach, Strength & Conditioning Coach and Rehabilitation Specialist.

Also available on June 24 is a free presentation by Mike Antoniades for coaches, managers, parents and athletes on how to develop elite soccer players. The presentation will be held from 6 to 8 pm. at Aurora BayCare Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Center. Attendees will learn the tools needed to increase players' speed and quickness and help prevent injuries.

Participants of this presentation are also invited to the clinics from June 25-27 to observe the coaching technique, drills and training methodologies. Teaching sessions will be based upon the development of quickness, active, reactive and complex speed, which is required in soccer. Technical advice will be given on how to coach soccer speed.
