Our caring women’s health professionals will be on hand to answer your questions. Tours of the hospital’s family birth center will be offered. Physicians from various specialties will be available, including OB, family practice, and pediatrics. In addition, the hospital’s neonatal nurse practitioners and experienced labor and delivery staff will also be there.
Health professionals representing maternal fetal medicine, fertility consultation, pastoral care and financial planning will also be part of the day. Look for information on newborn nutrition, pain control, breastfeeding, infant massage, and car seat safety.
Aurora Medical Center offers board certified OB-GYN physicians, along with a Level II special care nursery staffed by neonatal nurse practitioners available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and present during every delivery to ensure the best neonatal outcomes.
“Our neonatal nurse practitioners provide that extra level of care and support for all of our newborns,’’ said Mary Kay Belcher, registered nurse and manager, obstetrics, Aurora Medical Center.
“This health fair is a wonderful opportunity to learn the latest information about having a baby and will help guide your planning for baby,’’ she added.
